This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15400OR with black dial is crafted in 18ct rose gold and is paired with a black rubber strap. FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The first thing you notice with the 15400OR is the warmth of the rose gold case. At 41mm, the proportions are spot on for most wrists. It has presence, certainly, but it never feels huge. CASE AND PROPORTIONS
While the case diameter sits at 41mm, the proportions are refined and the dial layout fits it well.
The pink gold case is notably softer than yellow, but on rubber it’s definitely suited for clients who appreciate precious metal but do not necessarily want the weight or statement of a full gold bracelet. The 15400OR is a great choice.
The iconic octagonal bezel, secured by its eight white gold screws, which pop against the rose gold, remains the focal point. It is architectural and precise, a design that has stood the test of time without ever feeling dated..
THE MOVEMENT
Inside the Audemars Piguet 15400OR is a self-winding movement that offers a 70-hour power reserve and is beautifully visible through the sapphire caseback. You can admire the finishing: Côtes de Genève, polished bevels, and the solid rose gold oscillating weight. It is a reminder that while the Royal Oak is celebrated for its design, the watchmaking within is equally considered.
For many collectors, the combination of all that it is makes the 15400 one of the most desirable references.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is class. I love it and I’m gutted we had it polished, as it means I can no longer wear it. Great time to buy at the moment, as they appear to have just started to appreciate again. Great news for buyers in the last year.
